DEAR SINGLE PARENT,
Please
allow me to introduce myself and to explain the reason for this letter! My name is Carlton Dowdy, USA, (Retired).
My friends call me, "the Colonel"! In 1997 I founded Single Parents USA, (SPUSA)! Initially
my primary goal was to ... "Bring the Mountain to Muhammad". In other words. because I wanted to be as close
to my then 10 year old son as possible I decided to ... bring the ladies to me! However,
it was only after we held our very first mixer that I realized that SPUSA had to be a lot more than my original idea of ...
"Bringing the Mountain to Muhammad!" I immediately came to the realization that these were "Very Beautiful
People", ... I immediately changed my Goals!
We operated SPUSA "Honorably"
until 2001, but was unable to keep it's doors open because of family reasons. Since that time much has changes
in our lives; however, there is one thing that has not changed, ... our love for and our desire to help provide support to
single parents and their kids and help them grow physically, spiritually and financially!
We have since been able to all but resolve those family issues and have decided to re-open our doors and continue with
our original mission of Building a Coast-to-Coast Network of Single Parents families.
We have redoubled our original goals of helping to empower single parents by providing you with opportunities to meet and
socialize with other Single Parents as well as with opportunities to attend seminars and other activities addressing other
issues that are near and deer to the hearts of single parents.
We ask that you take a few moments and look around our site. If you think that we
have something that may be for you and your family, please consider joining us. If you don't see anything that interest
you, please tell us that as well. Our goal is to try and help single parents meet as many
of their needs and goals as is possible and are therefore willing to make whatever changes that we possible can in order to
better support your needs!

MISSION
OUR PRIMARY MISSION is to Build a Coast-to-Coast Network of Single
Parent families and help empower you by providing you with opportunities to meet and socialize with other Single Parents
as well as with opportunities to learn and grow. As we continue to grow we envision sponsoring chapters in all 50 states

MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS
/ OPTIONS / COST
SINGLE PARENTS USA Is a membership based organization. We offer a variety of membership options. These options
include. Option A: Family Membership - Single Parents with kids under 18 years old,
Option B: Family Membership - Single
Parents with adult children, (18 and older)! Option C: Associate Membership - Married Members, with caring hearts and want to help us provide support
to single parents, (I know lots of people that fits this capacity)! desire Option D: Business
Supportive Membership - These are business owners who advertise at our site and are willing to
provide discounts, (10% or more when possible), to SPUSA members! OPTION D: Single
Adults - No kids! Lets talk!
All applicants must meet qualifications as outlined

HOW DO WE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH
OUR MISSION
We accomplish our mission through a variety of ways! First, we provide our members with a monthly newsletter as well
as opportunities to attend regularly scheduled mixers, one day and over night tours, and other activities where members and
guest can mix and mingle. Whenever possible we also have local area professionals come and speak to our members about
some of the more pressings issues facing single parent families. Issues like, the economy and financial planning.

is crammed packed with information on being a single parent as well as other issues such as managing your families health;
financial situations like getting your credit repaired, starting and operation a home base business, saving on your taxes

We also offer a members only pass word protected profile listing for those single parents
who are interested in meeting other single parents in a more personal way. To participate in our members only pass word
protected profile listing service, you will need to email a 30 - 40 word profile of yourself to us at: gospusa@yahoo.com. At present we do not allow pictures to be apart of your profile. To participate in this service you must be

OUR GOAL is to establish SPUSA Chapters
throughout the USA and Canada! In order to facilitate this we are actively seeking single parents who are interested

WORK FROM HOME BUSINESS
OPPORTUNITIES
ONE OF MY most difficult problems I had as a single parent was that of balancing a professional career and remaining close
to the needs of my son and being able to support his day to day elementary and high school needs!
Because of this I decided to draw a circle of 20 miles and declared that I would find a "JOB" within that circle
so that I could be close and responsive to his needs! I decided that providing him with his needs was far more important
than anything else! This was a bit easier for me than most because I had already earned a military retirement.
